The Performance car section in the Gedee Car Museum has been designed as a plain canvas - a backdrop that allows the cars to take center stage. The choice of colour has been guided by the cars on display in each segment, ensuring that nothing distracts from their form.
Every segment is revealed to the visitor gradually as you move through the space. A conscious design decision taken to prevent information overload and to maintain an element of surprise.
The space around each car allows the visitor to appreciate them individually, to take in their unique lines, and also to view them together, drawing comparisons across eras, styles and philosophies.
And the museum balances digital media and physical displays by combining technology and traditional posters, to convey stories, context, and engineering insights in a clear and engaging way.
The result is an experience where the cars speak for themselves, and the space quietly enhances that dialogue.
We began by creating two distinct segments within this section.
The first displays a range of modern and classic performance cars from British, Italian, German, American and Japanese manufacturers. You can witness an impressive collection, ranging from a pure sports car of the 1940s to a cutting-edge hybrid supercar made recently.
The second segment celebrates the story of Coimbatore’s Motorsport Heritage.
